- There are 8 modules, 3 hours each as follows:
- Property 5. Fair Housing
- Brokerage 6. Condos & Leases
- Deeds & Contracts 7. Financing
- Appraisal 8. Massachusetts Law
- Course certificates mailed to students shortly after completion
- Course valid two-years for state exams, otherwise you must re-take the entire course
State Exam Procedure
- Requires completion of a state approved 24-hour real estate training course
- Must call: (PROMISSOR) 3 days in advance to schedule an exam
- Tel 1-800-274-0501 Open 7 days per week, M-F, 8am to 11pm, Sat 8am to 5pm, Sun 10am to 4pm
- You must have your exam confirmation number with you and your course certificate
- Exam fee is $107.00 for Salespersons (certified or cashiers check payable to Promissor Cash not accepted)
- Exams given at: 181 Park Street (2nd floor), West Springfield, MA (Fri & Sat's)
- Examinations allow 4-hours to complete 110 multiple choice questions, requires 70% score to pass
- Upon passing the Salespersons exam, you will pay a $124.00 license fee and receive your license that day and is renewable every two-years
- If you fail the state exam, you may repeat our next scheduled course free
- If you fail, you must wait 24 hours before re-scheduling a re-take exam, for up to two years
Other
- Active Salespersons require 6 hours of continuing education each year to maintain their licenses
- If your license expires, it can be renewed anytime without taking another 24-hour real estate course
- Reciprocity: If you have an out of state license that has expired, you must first call the Mass Board 617-727-2373 to verify reciprocity, then reactivate that license by submitting a letter of good standing from your state before applying for a Massachusetts license.
